Turkey Hawaiinan Burger Recipe

Teriyaki Hawaiian Burger
This has been a family favorite of late. We eat them probably once a month. Ingredients: turkey burger, hamburger buns, sliced pineapple, romaine lettuce, sweet onion, Yoshida sauce, mayonnaise (optional) This is how we make them: Thaw ground turkey burger. Cut open and slice into four equal portions (1/4 lb. each). Shape into patties. Sprinkle very lightly with onion, celery, or garlic salt. (I use a combination of all three). Slice and saute onion rounds in a non-stick skillet. Cook turkey burgers in a small amount of olive oil until only slightly pink in the middle. Pour a small amount (1 TB.) of sauce over each mostly cooked patty. Cook patties until done and let sauce caramelize with oil in the pan. Scoop onto of burgers and move to the side. Assemble burger: bun, patty, lettuce, pineapple, onions, bun or however you like. Enjoy! We also discovered this delightful frozen yogurt and sorbet swirled frozen dessert. Yum!
