Flying to LAX--Adventure begins.

April 3, Sunday

Flew to LAX on Allegiant Air. I sat by Susie and Rebekah and Joe were switched to be in an Exit row.
I was proud of Susie for being courageous when the bumpy, painful ear pressure descent happened and she took my hand but endured quietly. Rough flight.
We took a shuttle to the Hampton Inn in Hawthorne California. (Mid city with trash, vagrants, traffic, and lots of learning adventures for Susie...who left the napping old folks and took off until her mom had a mini breakdown. "We aren't in Kansas anymore, Toto. "
We checked in and went up to our room where we had a beautiful view of an orange brick wall overlooking an alley.

We listened to some General Conference, ate granola bars and oranges, and napped.

Later, we decided to scout around for some grub. We walked down the sunset filled street to a chicken place to share some salad and wings.

On the way to dinner, we stood at a streetlight waiting to cross the street when an angry, homeless lady with a colorful vocabulary was walking towards us. Right as the light turned for us to cross, I realized she was "talking" up a blue streak to US?!  We crossed the road and I was trying to diffuse the situation and calm things when Susie said," Yeah. I kept thinking she was talking to 'Butch.'"

Ensenada, Mexico

Thursday Morning, April 7, 2016
Ensenada, Mexico from our cruise ship, Carnival, Inspiration.

We woke up to rain!
The "old faithful" large white California Seagull was standing in his post on the side of the ship this morning but pickings from breakfast were slim as the crew practices emergency maneuvers and the passengers decided if they were crave enough to slog into Mexico for souvenirs and adventures.

Rebekah touched a plant that poked her and Susie is laughing. All is not perfect in paradise, apparently.

Quick, ask that Kirean lady for a picture!

The brave Adventurers.

"Just go down the street, across the bridge, and past the 711..."

In port. Big ship.

Stormy and tropical.

How did the Susie cross the road?!

The rain fell so fast and quickly, it filled a canal with muddy water and the sewers rose up into the street. Potty smell and how to cross the watery street!?

Mexican store "Smart & Final" (?!) is where we bought a lot of Mexican Cultural Night supplies: candies, drink mixes, cookies, and a toothbrush.

Yes, you are correct. Susie has not brushed her teeth since Saturday night (if she did then?! She fell asleep while packing and waiting for an all-nighter parent to check off her stuff. Toothbrush? No check. Eew.

Oh look, Mom. Can we ride on a house drawn carriage. Oh yeah. No. (Mom is ei-pen allergic. So is sister, Bekah.)

Sun Seekers Spring Break!

This beautiful lady is having breakfast at the Best Western in Long Beach, CA. Mom likes the painting behind her. Today we return home to family, friends, and Provo.
"Back to life, back to reality..."And cooking and cleaning,...

During Spring Break, Hannah's Varsity Ballroom traveled down to Califorbia to dance in board a cruise line to Ensenada, Mx.

We were hopeful "Sun Seekers" who found some...and equal amounts of rain this week in California and Mexico.
