Siblings Christmas Party

Baby Steven was the most gregarious one there--talking and laughing to anyone who would listen.
One (blurry) happy family!
Green was the color of the night!
Daddy and Daughter
Baby Cora was the cutest one there.
She's trying to puzzle Joe out.
This year the Siblings Christmas Party was hosted by Matt and Melissa. We enjoyed dips and crackers, meat or five cheese lasagna, green salads, rolls, Sangria Lemon or Orange Carbonated Juices and caramel popcorn. Hannah was put out by the fact that children were not invited to the dinner party. I reminded her that this was a tradition in my mother's family and that she too would be fed dinner and could watch a movie or play games...the difference is that this party is not for or about children but for the adults to come together and get to know one another better. After a yummy dinner, we went downstairs and watched old VHS movies of Christmases past (with Grandma Eunice Clayton, Elfi as a young exchange student, Matt and Amy as elementary children, Dad and Mom Clayton in their 30's, teenage Christmas mornings, etc.) Then we feasted on Beth's caramel popcorn and played Ticket to Ride Europe and America versions before saying "good nights."

I have now caught up on reading all the posts. Looks like you had tons of fun.

And lol, isn't it funny how kids expect to be included in EVERYTHING? I'm glad you guys have a sibling party. Wish we could have one, too.
