Parvovirus and "Pretty"

After almost nine days of smoldering fever, Hannah mentioned she had a rash. It turned out to be a form of Fifth Disease, Parvo virus. She is our exception to the rule. Fifth's disease is a number of diseases, usually Roseola, that is called Fifths because it is the fifth most common childhood disease (infection). It comes with this "pretty" (Dr. Osguthorpe) lacy rash that ran down her arms, legs, and torso. Now Jonathan has a rash--it has red raised bumps and may be the same thing or an exanthum in the Fifth's family. Also, we have a girl who likes "pretty" things like "flowers" and insists on her "dancing skirt" even (or instead of) her pajamas--she dressed herself last week and was very proud! Susie Q fell asleep (eating bagel twists) in the rocking chair watching her favorite "Junie and Annie!" (Little Einsteins). Jonathan came down with rash of small raised bumps, they merged into cheek bumps, and then smoothed out to be Parvo virus (looking like smooth "slapped cheeks"). He has a slight fever, but is otherwise his normal happy self. Thanks Hannah!

Good luck with your Fifth's! I finally added your blog to my list, so hopefully I will be visiting more often!
