Sunday Evening Walk by Rock Canyon

Daryna's first Sunday here in America.  We went to Church together.  While there, we were invited to eat lunch with the Hansen's because their son Chirstopher was visiting and he lived for a couple of years in the Ukraine and was anxious to meet Daryna and speak to her.

After dinner, we tried American "Junk Foods" that Joe and I bought last night.  Twinkies and Snowballs (snack cakes), red and black "Red Vine" Licorice, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Pringles Potato Chips, Sour Patch Kids Candies, Junior Mints (she said she likes all things minty), root beer barrel candies, Whoppers (malted milk ball candies), etc.

Daryna and Rebekah

Daryna has only seen mountains in the Crimea Region of the Ukraine.  Here we head up to the Lake Bonneville Trail near Rock Canyon at sunset.

Smile! (Back lit)

(Lighting was better shooting into it from the other side.)
Princess E, Adventurer L, and Joe.

The wild grasses are taller than little guy!

Rebekah shoots one with me in it!
(Hannah is at a Seminary Council Meeting and felt bad for missing our walk).

A few short feet from this picture, Joe looked down and discovered a tarantula on the path! Fun to see it in the foothills/wild. (Not a good picture.  Probably a male because it is rather small).
