Night terrors and bigger siblings, Summer schedules, babysitters and a remodel have been interfereing with sleep around here.
Once sleeping, aren't they beautiful?!

A Very Happy Birthday

Hannah bought me breakfast in bed! This was followed by a flower delivery from my Visiting Teaching Companion.

Sly L with his mischievous grin eats his homemade waffle on my pillow.

Girls bring me their presents!
A recycled Church Magazine binder of poems and thoughts and a yellow lip gloss which looks like a candy from E (which she borrowed back last night! ;)

Rebekah out on the Beatles "You Say it's Your Birthday!" Song and we danced impromptu in the bathroom and then L began blowing his vacuum tube like a trumpet.

Sister Amy came and joined our wallpaper removing party!

Lunch at La Jolla Groves with a free dinner for me.

Home to presents. J made me "stress balls" to squeeze and gave me a GF macaroon.

Pink Hands!

I got home from lunch and E and L informed me they had "pink hands" from making me a present. L kept splaying his fingers energetically and saying," PINK, PINK!"

E is picking brother L up. There is less than 10 lbs different in their weights.

Summer Book Reading

The children were excited to go and sign up for the City Library Summer Reading Program (which is now only done online?!) and get BOOKS.

Oldest sister did not come with us.  She was practicing driving and parking for her driver's test before her license tomorrow.  She passed! (But did not get her actual license because she and second daughter left for Lake Powell in southern Utah Wednesday morning early.)

Summer Haircuts

Monday morning while "favorite daughter" and I were at the Allergist, oldest daughter cut her sister's hair to give them a new, easy breezy Summer look.

The next day before cousins came, I gave son a "buzz cut" per his request.  He felt "cooler" already!

An early "Selfie."

Park Day

The children and I had a fun day at the near by park.

Older sister's are gone to Lake Powell with the Church youth group and brother is packing for an over-night camp out with the Boy Scouts and so it was just the "littleies" and me!  FUN!  (We miss our brother and sisters!)

Austenland Tea Party

In conjunction with oldest daughter's seventeenth birthday, and the end of school--she planned a Tea Party and movie showing, Austenland.

Homemade Twinkies

Look what Art Girl thought up?

Homemade Twinkies!

She even added real cream to the yellow cake loaves she mixed, baked, and displayed with herb tea varieties to surprise Mom.

Now, wouldn't it be a surprise if she cleaned the kitchen after? ;)
