This morning while the children were getting ready for school, I noticed Jonathan's hair was sticking up all over. "Jonathan, it looks like your hair needs you." "Grr, I thought I did it last night!" (Hannah overheard and testified that he did, indeed, comb and gel it last night before bed! He he). Yesterday, I picked up Aunt Melissa's boys to let her and Matt get a bite of lunch together. Susie and Sam sat quietly while Eli (four years old) chatted to me the whole way home. "What is your name?" "Aunt Julie." "Oh, yeah, Julie...my mom destroyed our house! Then she threw down the scissors." (Pruned shrubs out front and was scared off by wasps). We pass BYU. "Look there--that is Becci's school!" Sunday afternoon we were eating chicken fajitas, avocados, and corn after church. Susie is eating a tortilla with cheese, only. I put a teaspoon of corn on her plate and a tiny piece of avocado. Back to School!

This year three siblings get to attend school together! A photo would not be complete without the new "master of the house", pet kitten Huckleberry. The girls chose their "First Day" attire. Hannah influenced Rebekah into buying the Converse type shoes. From what our first grader mentioned, school went okay except for being outside--too hot!

Pajama Girls

The girls were thrilled to find clearance pajamas while school shopping this weekend. They had a lot of fun together modeling, dancing, giggling, and posing for photos.

Funny Things Kids Say

I tuned into this funny dialogue between Jonathan and Susie around 11:00 p.m. last night. "Cats are nice pets!" Jonathan declares. Susie shoots back,"They're like little, tiny, yellow babies!(?)" She nods her head in agreement.

Wet and Wild at the Waterpark

Uncle Mike and Aunt Beth invited us to a nearby water park. Jackson, Katy, Hannah, Rebekah, Jonathan, Cami, Lucy , Lauren, and I had a lot of fun. It seemed a mild day in Utah. The water was cool and so at one point Hannah and her "buddy" (we used a buddy system because there was three adults and nine children) Lucy enjoyed the hot showers. Aunt Lisa, meanwhile, stayed home to listen for Andrew and Susie napping and made us a wonderful dinner. We had a lesson on Prayer for Family Home Evening.
